Director Maria Angeles Escudero Artiaga had big ambitions for her first film and managed to make a great movie despite operating from a shoestring budget. Life Passion Death has been honored by winning Best Cinematography at the 10th International Bare Bones Film Festival. As a director Ms. Escudero elicits solid performances from her actors including herself as the leading actress in Life Passion Death. The character of Angela shows freshness and honesty that enhances credibility of the film. In addition to directing and acting Ms. Escudero wrote, produced and edited Life Passion Death. For these impresive accomplishments she was awarded with Best Indie Auteur 2009, and nominated Best Actress, and Life Passion Death was nominated Best Drama at 10th International Bare Bones Film Festival. Life Passion Death tells the story of a woman from Spain who embarks in a new life in New York City. She has to confront the challenge of a different culture and betrayal. The film was awarded with 1st Place Feature Film Drama at Cleveland Indie Gathering 2009.
